AP Marvel Episode 13: The Meta Episode—A History of AP Marvel
With the show going through a temporary change in roster, Chris has a one-on-one conversation with Izzy, who will be leaving for a few weeks due to some school-related commitments. The duo talks about the history that led to the creation of AP Marvel, mainly the Carnegie Mellon class that the two taught on the Marvel Cinematic Universe—crack open a cold one with Chris, and enjoy some fun anecdotes.

AP Marvel Episode 30: Christmas, 2019, and Beyond!
The holiday season is always a time to reflect back on the past year, so the AP Marvel crew takes a look back at the mess that was 2018. Chris, Izzy, and Anthony are rejoined by Erin Beasley and introduce Leila Berger (@galaxyleila), the newest teacher for the Carnegie Mellon Marvel StuCo class. The quintet gives a proper burial to Daredevil, look back at their experiences watching Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Ant-Man and the Wasp in theaters, give their takes on Sony’s Spidey madness, and set their expectations for Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, and Spider-Man: Far from Home. Most importantly, AP Marvel hints at the show’s plans for 2019.
Important Note: This episode is the last one that Marvel News Desk will host. AP Marvel is hosted on Anchor and launching its own Patreon campaign, Discord server, Twitter account, Facebook page, YouTube channel, and most importantly, a Medium publication—the endgame, if you may, is to publish written and video pieces from guest contributors and pay them through Patreon funds. If you’ve enjoyed any of our 31 episodes thus far, we’d love if you would continue to follow us, and consider supporting us on Patreon. We are forever grateful for Marvel News Desk for their support while we were under their network and their blessing as we move forward with this new venture!

AP Marvel Episode 29: Into the “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”-Verse
There probably isn’t a soul in the multiverse who dislikes Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, so Chris and Anthony brought on Syfy Wire’s Karama Horne (better known as @theblerdgurl) to break down the animated film. What is it about the unique art style(s) that appealed to audiences? How did Miles Morales represent and normalize certain cultures? And what will Sony do with this Spidey subfranchise moving forward?

AP Marvel Episode 28: Spider-Man’s Sympathetic Sinisters
Probably more so than any other superhero series, the Spider-Man franchise probably has the most “tragic” and sympathetic villains in its rogues’ gallery. From the Sam Raimi trilogy to the MCU version of Spider-Man, Chris, Anthony, Izzy, and special guest Thomas Loughney (@ThomasLoughney) of the Major Casts Network give their thoughts on each Spider-Man movie villain, how they were handled thematically, and how they reflected some populist ideals.
